I began my career in Baton Rouge, La., at our property Williamsburg Senior Living Community. While attending Louisiana State University, I was the Assistant Activity Director. This was my first experience working with seniors, which I loved. After graduation from LSU with a BA in sociology, I continued working in the geriatric field, working in a Nursing Home, Regency Place Care Center in Baton Rouge, as a Social Services Director, and then the Assistant Administrator. I have worked at The Windsor Senior Living Community from the inception as the Marketing Director, Assistant Manager. Recently I was honored to accept the position of General Manager. It has been a wonderful opportunity to watch our community grow and flourish. I love spending time with the residents and their families. This has truly enriched my life! I am married with one daughter and two dogs. I love spending time with family, friends and my church activities.
Elizabeth and her staff are responsible for the safety, health and well-being of each resident of The Windsor Senior Living Community. With nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare and related fields, Elizabeth has worked in areas as diverse as maternal fetal medicine, medical oncology and cardiology; she is also a certified Allied Health Instructor who taught Medical Assisting at Delta College in Covington, and, as a Clinical Research Coordinator, has conducted over 50 clinical trials. Having lived and worked in St. Tammany Parish for most of the last 45 years, Elizabeth brings her unique combination of dedication to, and advocacy on behalf of, the residents she serves. Along with her many professional accomplishments, Elizabeth has served at both the VOA Homeless Clinic in New Orleans and, during the entire residency of her late mother, as a volunteer at Rouquette Lodge in Mandeville. When not at work, Elizabeth is a supporter of, and contributor to, the arts; a proponent against animal cruelty; and a passionate gardener with half-a-green thumb.
Patty Suffern - Marketing Director
Patty Suffern is the marketing director for The Windsor. Patty joined our staff four years ago as the Social Director. Her passion has always been working with seniors in St. Tammany. She has worked for over 17 years in the senior community in many different capacities - assistant manager of Rouquette Lodge, director of Volunteers of America's Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and owner of One Stop Senior Options. Patty is currently a volunteer with SALT (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) , sits on the Advisory Council for Volunteers of America's RSVP program, and a board member for COAST. Patty is married with two children.
Lu-Ann C. Parks - Marketing Assistant
Lu-Ann, or Lulu as she is called by family and close friends, is a life-long resident of Abita Springs and has been happily married to her husband, Bill, for 30 years. The loves of her life also include her two amazing grown children, Ann and Billy, along with her precious grandsons, Nicholas and Declan.
After 30 years of working for Bellsouth, Lu-Ann built her own business to become a Mary Kay Sales Director which she loves sharing with others because of the ability to help women feel better about themselves and look more beautiful. Lu-Ann looks forward to the end of the day when she gets home and gets slobbered on by her two dauschands, Rusty and Roxy.
Lylln Brinkman - Activities Director
Lylln Brinkman is originally from Lake Charles, La. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education and a MA in Christian Education. She is certified in Christian Education and Church Music and is a Diaconal Minister in the United Methodist Church. She has worked 30 years in local United Methodist Churches in Louisiana and Arkansas. She and her husband, Rick, live in Mandeville with their "two girls", their cats Shelby and Abby. Lylln loves vocal and instrumental music, reading, crafts, stitchery and relaxing by playing the piano. She believes that the position of Activities Director at The Windsor is an answer to prayer and an opportunity to be in full-time ministry again.
Lenny Pfleider - Transportation Director
Lenny joins The Windsor after 32 years with the City of Mandeville's Police Department. Lenny is married with 5 children. His hobbies include playing golf, reading, and watching old movies and Saints..
Kevin LaVelle - Food Service Director
Born in New Orleans in 1965, I was adopted and reared in Jean Lafitte, La. I began working in food service at the age of 12 at my grandfather's general store, where I worked in the deli, stocked groceries, and sold general merchandise and hardware. I have worked for three of Food and Wine's top 10 chefs and one James Beard Recipient, America's highest culinary honor. I have industry experience as an executive chef, sous chef, pastry chef, dining room manager, waiter and bartender. I have also owned and operated my own restaurant in Mandeville, La. I worked for three years as Food Service Director of a private school and, since 2005, as Food Service Director of The Windsor Senior Living. My favorite cuisine is Asian, but I enjoy cooking all types of regional and national cuisines. I am married with two children; I enjoy gardening, cycling, and playing guitar and piano. Having worked with kindergarteners through eighth graders, and now seniors, I learned to enjoy the circle of life, and gleefully await the return of my second childhood. Kevin won the 2016 Recipe Rumble for COAST with his delicious shrimp and grits.
Lenee Roussel - Office Manager
I am Lenee, a native of St. Bernard Parish, who has found residence in Covington since Hurricane Katrina. Although my background was in education, I find that experience has greatly helped me in my current position. The position I hold at The Windsor Senior Living Community is Receptionist/Office Manager. This role affords me many opportunities to make life meaningful while developing personal relationships. My greatest joy is the daily interaction with the residents as well as their families. I consider my work at The Windsor a ministry.
